You don't have to be a politician, public figure, celebrity, senior partner at a law firm, CEO, academic, influencer, or public policy maker to help shape the world you want to live in for yourself and future generations - anyone can do it. Your voice matters - no matter who you are or what you look like. Don't wait for other people to act because oftentimes they won't. Passion, conviction, authenticity, tenacity, courage, and being willing to fail time and again, but refusing to be overcome is all it takes.
IMAGE-BASED SEXUAL ABUSE
Approximately 1 in 3 Australians have experienced some form of image-based sexual abuse, which refers to the non-consensual distribution, recording, and threatening to distribute or record intimate images or videos. While it has been criminalised across Australia there is much more that needs to be done to tackle this issue.
DEEPFAKES
Deepfakes are computer-generated, fake, manipulated video, audio, and imagery. Deepfake abuse refers to the non-consensual creation and distribution of manipulated pornographic material of a person. The vast majority of deepfakes online are fake pornography of women. Deepfakes are a growing threat, not only to truth and democracy, but to the treatment of women in society.
VICTIM BLAMING/SLUT SHAMING
Victim blaming is the attitude that the victim of a crime is responsible or at fault for the conduct committed against them. Slut shaming occurs when women are shamed for violating traditional standards or norms of how a woman is expected to present, act, talk or behave. Both are common responses to women who dare to speak out about sexual abuse.

WOMEN'S SEXUAL AGENCY
Sexual agency is the concept that a person should be control of their bodies, sexuality and sexual experiences boundaries, and determine how they want to express themselves. Women's sexual agency is often belittled, exploited, violated and undermined.

MENTAL HEALTH
Mental health is vital to a person's overall health and wellbeing. It is just as important as a person's physical health. We need to end the stigma around mental health and continue the conversation on improving access to mental heath services.
BODY POSITIVITY
Body positivity is an idea that one should embrace and love their bodies and the skin that their in, regardless of the harmful unattainable beauty standards that society makes us feel we have to live up to.
